In the change of the model of worldwide agricultural production, social farming plays a main role for Città del Bio. Its aim is to involve social activities in the utilization of natural resources, helping social cohesion in a systematic way, taking on segments of the population that are disandvantaged and at risk of marginalization. That is particularly important in an historical period characterized by great migration flows.

Social farming tends to unify needs, identities, safeguards or instances of freedom for all the citizens, independently from their different abilities. That is the main point for an idea of work based not only on individual income but even on a fair, sustainable and cohesive society. Introducing in different Countries policies that develop social farming activities, we are going to put in the center of productive processes the safeguard and the dignity of human beings. The benefits of social farming will be reached even by farms and agricultural businesses, with an increase of growth opportunities and sustainable development of local territories.
